Approval for Educational Courses |

BMLA will consider applications for granting a formal approval for Laser and related educational courses. The Organisers are invited to apply to the Chairman of the Education Committee of the BMLA (address below). The Executive council has set out the following criteria for awarding the approval:
- The approval will be primarily for the educational content of the course.
- The application should be accompanied by the following information:
- The full name and particulars of the venue etc as advertised by the Organisers
- Its aims and objective
- A brief CV of the members of the faculty
- A statement as to how the attendee will benefit from the course.
- How would their achievements be monitored?
- What method of feedback will be used?
(Questionnaire on - Standard of accommodation, suggestion for improvement, length of course, quality of presentation, level of course fees etc)
- Declaration of any financial interest of the speakers with the trade or any other organisation.
- The application should be made as soon as possible and in any event, no later than three months before the event. The BMLA will either approve the course or provide suggestions if it fails to meet the criteria.
If approved, BMLA will grant the permission to insert the wording 'BMLA approved' on advertising material and certification.
