It is possible to join the BMLA either as a Basic Member or a Full Member: 

1. Full membership

This confers full voting rights and all benefits of BMLA and ELA membership, as well as the annual subscription for the official BMLA journal, Lasers in Medical Science, published by Springer. The current full membership fee is only £75.00. This is less than the cost of the journal alone!

2. Basic membership

This confers full voting rights of the BMLA, but not ELA membership and does not include the journal at a discounted rate. The current basic membership fee is £25.00.

Preferred method of payment is Standing Order. The standing order form can be found by clicking on the following link which is in Microsoft Word Format. Please fill this in and send it to your bank to set up.

If membership fees are paid through a bank account with a name other than the one mentioned above, please clearly state the name of the account so that the money can be allocated to your membership fees. Failure to do so will result in non receipt of the journal since we are unable to identify the source due to stringent money laundering banking rules.

At the AGM in May 2009 is was resolved to increase the subscription rate to £75 for full BMLA membership from January 2010, to take account of the increased costs of providing six issues of the journal (previously 4). The Basic Membership rate remains unchanged at £25.
